Position Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Production Manager with hands-on experience in blown film manufacturing. In this role, you will oversee production operations, ensuring that quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained. Your expertise will be essential in driving process improvements, optimizing production schedules, and developing a high-performance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire Teams: Oversee and mentor the production team, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency. Provide training, assign tasks, and set performance expectations to drive team success.
- Production Scheduling: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively plan and schedule production. Adjust schedules as necessary to meet customer demands and production targets.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations. Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to maintain high standards throughout production.
- Safety First: Maintain strict safety protocols across production areas. Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company-specific safety guidelines.
- Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives. Work with engineering and operations teams to identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and streamlining processes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of production metrics, shift reports, and incident documentation. Provide regular management reports.
- Inventory Coordination: Partner with inventory control to manage raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate tracking and storage.
- Staff Development: Support the training and development of your team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills needed for optimal performance and safety.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot: Actively monitor production to resolve any issues quickly, ensuring smooth operations and on-time deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within plastics manufacturing, with a strong focus on blown film production.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of extrusion equipment, production processes, and quality control protocols. Familiarity with manufacturing safety regulations is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities with a knack for communication and conflict resolution.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
- Time Management: Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines efficiently.
